January’s ‘FROM MY WINDOW’

January is a good month to start something isn’t it?!

I have a view from the back of our house where I love to watch as the seasons change.

Each month I shall post up a photo or two of the view so you can share the changing landscape with me.

Can you see the rainbow?
Can you see that house just behind the field with sheep?
Lets take a closer look…

Isn’t that lovely?
That is my dream house –
Away from the hustle and bustle of a not-very-nice town::
Surrounded by woods
Looking out onto farmland
*Sigh*

This is my favourite tree
I love seeing it
Bud
Fill with Leaves
Watch the leaves drop
See how it becomes a skeleton against the sky
Watch it get covered in snow
And watch the cycle start again.
A closer look?

Even that lane looks idyllic.

Don’t you just adore sunny winter days?

Is That What I Think It Is?

SUN! Oh wowee!

Quick! Get that washed bedding on the line!

Hurry! Get that child outside and get that sunshine on his skin!

But do it very quickly as there are very, very grey rain clouds heading this way!

I may be hoping in vain that my washing will dry but there it is a bit windy out there so I’m in for a chance.

I’ve been very daydream-y today, and wishful thinking-y, and making nearly-impossible-to-achieve plans that to achieve them would take many many years… They’re very John Seymour kind of dreams.

NO! Not those kind of dreams!

This kind – my bible. I have had this book since 2004-ish. I love it. If I had to get rid of ALL my books and save just one, it would be this one.

In my wildest dreams I’d have the idyllic farmhouse setting surrounded by fields and woodland. There be plenty of space for growing all our veg & fruit, space for more hens, goats and some sheep and a couple of horses.
There would be a few outbuildings to convert into workshops and a dairy would be lovely.
We’d make a living through selling produce and handicrafts and J would buy, do up and sell classic cars.

Realistically though it would be nice to have enough space to grow all fruit & veg, have more hens and a couple of goats.

I am determined that one day we shall live a life as close to this as possible. I’m going off to dream some more while Munchkin is blissfully sleeping.
